In my opinion from years past I found the day always a let down. There is such a direct focus on time passing, a truth I would rather not have thrown in my face. Not to mention it is just naturally suppose to be the best night ever. There is too much hype.
That's why we went about it in a low key, intimate setting. Close friends. Loads of bubbly. Paper crowns. And a dance party.
But on the other hand, NYE presents an opportunity for three things: 1.) you have any and all excuses to wear sparkles; 2.) you have any and all excuses to drink champagne; 3.) it's a night that revolves around the celebration of a fresh start.
This video was an inspiration from Taylor from a beach video she made ages ago (Correction: she made one for Christmas that is adorable. Go watch it). The app is called 8mm, and it's a fantastic creative tool when you want to capture memories in a different way. I hope you enjoy it! xoxo

ReplyDeleteI agree -- whenever I've made big plans for New Year's, it's always turned out to be a huge let down. That's why I prefer to keep mine low key these days, too :)

ReplyDeleteI have mixed feelings about NYE too, we didn't do anything this year, just watched tv drank Cava and had a nice little time. Sometimes it's fun to go all out and sometimes it's fun to stay in! xx
ReplyDeleteI've never been a big NYE person. It makes me sad, I'm such a nostalgic person anyways... Celebrating another year ending just breaks my heart! On top of that, the festivities are usually a let down. This year was better in that department but my outfit was still the best part... NYE just isn't my holiday.
