MERRY MONDAY: Wine & cheese please
When your work is oppressive and life has become lackluster, I try to find small joys. The smell of freshly ground coffee beans that my barista roommate brings home each week. The feeling of crawling into a fresh bed with clean sheets. Having the free time to prop yourself up on the couch and to read a good book, maybe even finish it. All opulent joys.
Today, I seek my solace and revitalization in a cheese plate, fresh bread, crisp apples and luxurious red wine. These simple pleasures can make the mundane refreshed and the annoying forgotten.
My words of wisdom today, because I am a trove of wise brilliance, is to find something small to make you incandescently happy.
Also, we cannot forget MLK Day. These photos are beautiful and somber. It's incredible how these words, among many more, have made such an impact on our lives: "Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity."

I too find the simple joy in a cheese plate and glass (or bottle) of wine. I really should look into finding a barista for a roommate because having fresh ground coffee every week sounds heavenly.
