What I've learned this week.
Sometimes your friends really do know how to cheer you up. You can never thank them enough, so support them in the same way in return. Just being there, maybe possibly with a delectable margarita, is enough.
You will never be the same after studying abroad. Even perusing the flea markets of Tennessee takes me back to my Danish friends I made while in Canterbury, seen in the photo above. Furthermore, when people post tidbits about going abroad you cannot be consumed with the idea of going back--support, take a deep breath and realize you've had your time.
The South can be a lovely home with the right mindset.
Letters always win the thoughtful game. It takes two minutes, maybe a dollar for postage and the paper, and boom, a day is made.
If you follow me on Instagram, this is all old news. Apologies. Get ready for tomorrow, it's a fun post!
Happy Monday! xoxo

Definitely agree about the letter writing! I have friends of my own I met while overseas and we still send handwritten letters to each other.
ReplyDeleteI just went through my first abroad trip (my boo was on study abroad, I just mooched along) and I agree ... I feel different. The kind of different that last forever and isn't quick to revert back to my old ways, if that makes any sense lol ... The world is a great teacher.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this video, Hannah! I especially love your point " take a deep breath and realize you've had your time" -- I think it's important to remember everything has its moment.
ReplyDeleteErrr... blog post, not video haha. I guess that's what comes from "multitasking" and reading blogs and watching YouTube videos at the same time. Whoops!
