I'd like to thank the Academy.

The weekend of the Academy Awards is upon up. Here's a compilation of internet goodness to help you through this wonderfully cinematic time:

You can get some perspective on Best Picture nominees at The New Yorker.
You can better understand acceptance speeches at Slate.
You can see where the stars have come from on Huffington Post.
You can stalk what kids have worn to the big shebang at New York Magazine.
You can marvel and obsess over Jennifer Lawrence, as I so often do, at Refinery 29.
You can pretend to care when people predict the outcome of the evening at The Atlantic or The New York Times.
You can keep up with a live chat will be going on at The New Yorker, which could be entertaining.
You can remind yourselves that not all film value lies in the legendary Oscars night.

Or you can just watch it and take it as it comes.

**The video above is an absolute favorite of mine. These women are so strong and intelligent. I just marvel at not only their talent, but their ability to create characters that we can all relate to and understand. If anyone watches it let me know what you think!

Happy watching & happy weekend!

  1. One downfall of living overseas is missing out on the live broadcast of these shows. Watching youTube clips the next morning just isn't the same!
